I've just been handed a cup of tea at Oran's playgroup. That's his snack in the bowl.

But I was reminded of the poet Ian McMillan who, in his Twitter feed, called a cup of tea a lake he could float in, and that first cuppa as where style meets substance, with him being the style.

Finding the poetry in the ordinary (or imbuing the ordinary with poetry) is one of Mr McMillan's many talents.

But we could all give it a go.
