THE METAPHORICAL MONSTER

Kathleen Jamie wrote a poem for the Scottish Parliament (and the rest of us) about the Morrow Bird. It tells of a bird from the future which once helped mankind/nature recover from the Ice Age, and is back again with dire warnings and a request for the government to get its act together on climate change.

The exercise is - invent a mythical creature. If you want to use it as a metaphor for something, or if you want it conveying a message, that's fine. If not, you might need to find some other way to make it relatable.
