When you are setting out in this writing world, your focus is all about getting that first piece in print.

When you're doing it for a living, your focus is always on the next piece.

Add to that the few months delay between acceptance and publication, and you get situations like this.

I just opened this week's People's Friend, saw this teaser, and thought, "Oh, I wonder what that's about?"
