John Mee's book has poems about the wreck of the Dalhousie, the assassination of Albrecht von Wallenstien, Frankenstein, becoming an expat... and his dad.
Dinosaurs aren't represented, the dodo doesn't get a word in, the things of our childhood remain unaccounted for.
For this exercise, write, in poetry or prose, about something that is gone from the world. Explain, in the voice of that thing, why the world is better or worse off without it.
Be as serious or as light-hearted as you like.
